AWARDS/EXHIBITIONS/LECTURES
A great picture moves a person to feel something. Taking the risk to make images which speak in a new way is what drives my process. My strength is in connecting with people; respect for others is paramount. I have been fortunate enough to travel and meet many interesting people throughout my career. My pictures include women and the Shia religion during conflict in Iraq; victims of rape, orphans, refugees, and gold miners in the Democratic Republic of Congo; and the human effects of gun violence in Central and South America. Editorial clients include the New York Times, Boston Globe, Village Voice, Fader magazine, GQ, Newsweek Poland, Reuters, Associated Press, and Stern magazine. I am currently living in San Francisco, shooting for editorial and organizations (corporate, NGO, and non profits), and teaching documentary photography.
